The great men of religious Zionism, including their heads of yeshivas, city rabbis and the elders of the rabbis of religious Zionism, came out today (Tuesday) in a firm statement "not to give recognition to the reformers at all."

The statement is signed by Rabbi Zvi Israel Tao, Rabbi Dov Lior, Rabbi Yehuda Amichai, Rabbi Yitzchak Shilat, Rabbi Rabbi Nahum Neria, Rabbi Yehoshua Shapira, Rabbi Elyakim Lebanon, Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu, Rabbi David Dodkevitz, Rabbi Micha Halevi, Rabbi David Chai HaCohen And other rabbis.

"Recently, we see to our regret that fences have been breached by world leaders and there are those who hold Torah meetings and discussions with representatives of the Reform movement, as if we have a 'common rabbinical discourse' with them."

The rabbis opened their letter.

The rabbis added that "the love of every single individual in Israel is certainly valid at all times, but there is no permit for cooperation with the representatives of the reform movement that uprooted Torah from Israel, and fights even today to uproot everything that is sacred in our country in conversion, the Western Wall, marriage ".

The rabbis' statement joins last week's reading of Chief Rabbi Yitzchak Yosef who attacked Rabbi Eliezer Melamed for his ties to the Reform community.

Rabbi Yosef spoke sharply and stated that the Reformers had falsified the Torah and "destroyed every good part of the people of Israel," and that "it is necessary to keep them away so that there will not be even one who hangs about the meetings and goes their way."

The director general of the Reform movement, Rabbi Gilad Karib, said in response to the rabbis' letter: "In the midst of a serious health, social and economic crisis, reputable rabbis choose to increase hatred and controversy in Israeli society and the Jewish people, instead of encouraging dialogue, moderation and tolerance.

The fact that some of them hold public and state positions only exacerbates the consequences of their inappropriate behavior. "

"The only consolation that can be found in this ad is the fact that the rabbis who signed it are known for their extreme positions and their impatience towards a variety of circles and audiences in Israel and the Diaspora. Blur the substantive disputes.

The Reform movement in Israel and around the world will continue to work for the State of Israel to be a home and spiritual center for all Jewish communities wherever they are, while respecting the freedom of religion and conscience of all its citizens and residents. At the same time we will always strive for a fruitful and respectful discourse. "And not just as a recommendation and a costume."
