An earthquake measuring 4 degrees on the Richter scale struck the Midaud region in Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran today, without reports of injuries or damage.
The IRNA news agency quoted the Seismological Center of the Geophysical Institution at the University of Tehran as saying that the quake occurred at a depth of 6 kilometers under the surface of the earth and its center was determined at the confluence of latitude 31.25 degrees north and longitude 49.78 degrees east.
