The status of Al Zahraa bakery 1 in Homs during the past week has resulted in a state of comfort for the citizens living in Al Zahraa neighborhood and in the neighboring neighborhoods due to the easing of their burdens in obtaining their needs of bread with good quality.

Engineer Bassam Al-Hassan, Director of the Syrian Establishment for Bakeries in Homs, indicated in a statement to SANA that Al Zahraa 1 bakery operates with a production capacity of about eight tons per day, which can be increased. Abdul Rahman Eid, the supervisor of Al Zahraa bakery 1, indicated that the bakery operates on a daily basis from 12 to 13 hours and produces the equivalent of eight tons of bread, which are distributed to 63 accreditors, and the bakery suspends the weekend on Thursday for maintenance and cleaning, pointing to taking all precautionary measures to address the Corona epidemic.

Nour, a worker in the bakery, who packs and weighs the bread, indicated that the opening of the bakery provided her with a job opportunity, and the worker Sawsan indicated that she works as a bagger and works about 10 hours daily in the oven.

Hassan Alloush, the mayor of the northern Armenian neighborhood, confirmed that the opening of the Zahraa Bakery 1 was a great relief for the people of the neighborhood, as it relieved the citizens of a lot of burdens and saved them to go to the Deir Baalba neighborhood to get bread, which costs them transportation fees and suffering in obtaining the material.

Citizen Moufid Hourani, from the neighborhood, indicated that the bakery met the needs of the neighborhood and the neighboring neighborhoods for bread and reduced congestion, while Hayat Awad, a member of the Armenian neighborhood committee, indicated that the Zahra 1 bakery serves the neighborhoods of the eastern region of the city of Homs and eased the pressure on the dependents and citizens alike.
