", hailing footballer Marcus Rashford's campaign to encourage reading.

” Boris Johnson said in a message published by The Sun tabloid.
The Prime Minister said to have "
read everything
" as a child and "
adored Charlie and the chocolate factory, Tintin and especially Asterix - the magic potion, devouring whole wild boars and the small anti-Roman village which resists the empire
".
The comic strip created by René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo features two mustached heroes, Asterix and Obelix, living in "
a village of irreducible Gauls who still and always resists the invader
".
Boris Johnson's statements are likely to make people smile, in the midst of the final sprint of negotiations with the European Union on their post-Brexit relationship.
A strong supporter of the exit from the EU, which took place last January, Boris Johnson has repeatedly reiterated his desire that the United Kingdom "

".
