Sculptor Ziad Qat's participation in the first electronic Syrian Plastic Art Exhibition in Ukraine was represented in a new sculptural work entitled The Phoenix.
The sculptor Katt said in a statement to Sana that his sculpture represents a mythical bird emanating from under the ashes, made of walnut wood material in a small size and in an expressive style through a streamlined movement of the mass in harmony with the space.
Regarding the exhibition held by the Syrian community in Ukraine, Katt said, “My participation in this exhibition came at the invitation of the sculptor Afif Agha, and it is a beautiful cultural opportunity for a number of Syrian plastic artists to meet in one electronic exhibition to know them and their artworks in Ukraine, which creates an important cultural situation with the art public this country".
Qat pointed out that the Corona pandemic imposed a new interaction with the virtual world and social media regarding plastic art, indicating that electronic exhibitions provide an opportunity for art lovers to get acquainted with new artists by reviewing their works and an overview of their artistic career.
Katt, a graduate of the sculpture department at the College of Fine Arts, explained in 1980 that his passion for art is far from any other motives or ambitions, indicating that his dealings with sculpture stems from his love and cohesion with him to express through him his own ideas and visions because the artist is creative and honest in his work reaches fame and world class without To plan them as a result of his creative work reaching people.
It is noteworthy that the first electronic Syrian plastic plastic exhibition in Ukraine will be held on the official website of the Syrian community there and on its social media pages throughout the current month.
