The Ministerial Committee for the Declaration of a Restricted Area announced tonight (Wednesday) that Araba will be defined as a restricted area.
The decision will take effect tomorrow at 5pm for five days.
At the same time, they announced the abolition of restrictions in Ixal and a return to routine this evening.
The decision regarding Araba comes following a sharp rise in morbidity.
90 Corona patients have been diagnosed in 1,191 tests performed in the past week, and a total of 108 of its residents are now infected with the virus - a ratio of 41 to ten thousand people.
At the outbreak of the plague, 689 were infected in the northern city.
