The National Assembly voted on first reading on Friday, November 20, in the early evening, the most controversial measure of the “
comprehensive security
” bill
penalizing the malicious dissemination of the image of the police, with guarantees of government in favor of the “
right to inform
”.

In its amended wording, article 24 adopted by 146 votes for and 24 against, provides for penalizing one year in prison and a fine of 45,000 euros, "
without prejudice to the right to inform
", the dissemination of "
the image of the face or any other element of identification
"of a national police officer, gendarme or a municipal police officer,"
with the obvious aim that his physical or mental integrity be violated
.
