On a day in October, Cem Özdemir, member of the Bundestag, stands on the freshly green median of Tauentzienstrasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg, surrounded by children who want an autograph.
"For Clara and Marie," he writes on a flyer with the green logo, the parents are not in sight, it seems as if Clara and Marie had the idea of asking him for a signature.
This is not absurd, because Özdemir is not only one of the most popular politicians in the country, but also one of the most famous.
"Tauzieh'n am Tauentzien" is the name of the program for which Cem Özdemir cycled to Breitscheidplatz this Saturday.
Under the hashtag #Rasenstattrasen, people are thinking about a traffic-calmed city center, there is a »Speakers Corner« with platforms, on one of which is a woman with orange hair, she wants a magnetic levitation train to Warsaw.
She says: "I see no future in motorized private transport." The whole thing was thought out by the Green-dominated "City for People" alliance, but the district mayor, an SPD man, is also there.
