An investigation was opened for facts of a sexual nature after the complaints filed in early November by two elected officials of the Loir-et-Cher departmental council against another elected official, AFP learned on Friday (November 20) from the prosecutor. of the Republic of Blois.

An investigation was opened into the facts brought to my attention.
There was already one opened under Article 40. I ordered another investigation into the facts of which I was not aware,
”said the prosecutor, Frédéric Chevallier.
The prosecutor refers to a first procedure, on facts reported to the prosecution by Nicolas Perruchot, the president of the departmental council of Loir-et-Cher.
During the summer, an elected official complained to Nicolas Perruchot about the actions of one of her colleagues.
Under article 40 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which provides that “
any constituted authority, any public officer or civil servant who, in the exercise of his functions, acquires knowledge of a crime or an offense shall be to give notice without delay to the public prosecutor
”, the president then reported the facts to the public prosecutor's office.

The investigations will continue on the facts which affect the first victim and extend to the complaint of the second victim

The investigation was entrusted to the gendarmerie.
The lawyer for the two plaintiffs, Me Emmanuel Legrand, spoke of "
facts of sexual assault
