On Monday, in an interview with
Le Monde
, Delphine Ernotte announced that she would devote most of her second term at the head of France Televisions to
“promoting diversity”
.
Based on an uninhibited use of ethnic statistics, she explained that 25% of the French population would be
"non-white"
.
This figure may seem surprising.
Yet we were told that evoking a large-scale demographic change in the French population today was a fantasy and conspiracy.
Unless this mutation is only recognized when the time comes to celebrate it?
Should we understand that ethnic statistics are authorized when Delphine Ernotte uses them but prohibited when they are used by a man with a bad ideological reputation?
It would be interesting to know.
