The electronic magazine Afaq Cinematheque, issued by the General Organization of Cinema, began publishing the first 100 issues of the Cinema Life magazine after the completion of the process of electronically archiving these issues, with the aim of preserving them and providing an opportunity for those interested inside and outside Syria to review them.

Regarding this project, film critic Nidal Qousha, editor-in-chief of the magazine, said in a statement to SANA, “The idea of archiving the film magazine Al Hayat began with the issuance of its 100th issue, which coincides with the passage of 26 years since the launch of this magazine, which is considered one of the oldest continuous Arab cinematic magazines to be published without interruption.”

"The difficulties faced by the project were represented by the lack of all the hundred numbers at one party that required time to prepare for this project, and here the writer Mahmoud Abdel Wahid was credited with helping us by virtue of his experience with this subject after he archived it for the two magazines of The World of Knowledge and the Theatrical Life, as we used his magazine's numbers." .

After completing the process of collecting the numbers, which is the most difficult according to Qousha, with the help of a number of interested people, such as director Ghassan Shamait, critic Ali Al-Aqbani, and the archive of the magazine's editor-in-chief, the technical stage was carried out in cooperation with the technical and technical staff in the Al-Assad National Library by archiving the pages of these issues from the magazine electronically so that these issues were issued after One year of work on two CDs.

Qushah explained, Amjalah, a horizon of electronic cinematic, has published two issues of the first issues of Al-Hayat Film Magazine so far, and it continues to publish these issues to reach all seventh art enthusiasts in the world, and thus the electronic magazine is at the service of the paper magazine.
