Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed his country's permanent commitment to support Lebanon's sovereignty and unity, and its welcome to efforts aimed at ensuring stability and national consensus in it.
In a written message received by Lebanese President Michel Aoun during his meeting today with the Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rodakov on the occasion of Lebanon's 77th Independence Day, Putin stressed that relations between Russia and Lebanon are based on the traditions of friendship and mutual respect, expressing his satisfaction that the continuation of constructive bilateral engagement fully corresponds to the interests of the two peoples.
