The Italian Ministry of Health stated that 699 deaths were also recorded, bringing the total deaths in the country to 48,569 cases.
The northern Lombardy region of Italy remained the most affected region, with 9,221 new infections recorded.
In Turkey, the total number of injuries reached 435,273, after 5,103 new injuries were recorded during the past 24 hours, while the number of deaths rose to 12,084 deaths after 141 cases were recorded.
