Most of the new patients in Corona in Jerusalem are from the neighborhoods in the east of the city, according to data from the Ministry of Health.

As of yesterday (Sunday) at midnight, there are 1,142 active patients in the city, while in the last day 96 new patients have been identified, for the only 87 season they have recovered, which may reflect the increase in morbidity in the city.

63 of the new patients in Corona are from the neighborhoods in the east of the city - that is, two-thirds of all patients located in the city in the last 24 hours.

These data are in addition to the increase in morbidity in the Arab sector throughout the country.

An examination by Israel Today shows that despite the information efforts, some of the residents in the Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem still do not wear masks and do not maintain distance as required by the Corona guidelines.

Moreover, every Friday the mass prayers are held on the Temple Mount and other gatherings, which cause the spread of the corona plague among the Arab sector in Jerusalem.

According to the data, out of all the new patients, only 15 are from the general sector in Jerusalem and only nine belong to the ultra-Orthodox sector, where they managed to stop the spread of the corona.

At this time, there are no red neighborhoods in Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Municipality called on the residents of the city to undergo a corona test and thus help fight the virus.

The National Corona Commissioner, Prof. Nachman Ash, paid his first working visit to the Jerusalem Municipality yesterday, during which he received a professional overview of the disease situation in the city and the trends taking place there.

"The challenge right now is in the Arab sector," the new commissioner said, referring to morbidity across the country. "Pirate weddings are a morbid factor."

He added: "We also have a matter of returning from abroad who do not maintain isolation.

I call on the leaders of the Arab population to encourage adherence to the guidelines.

Nobody wants a wedding to become a contagious event, and that's what's happening. "
