Vatican investigator: Who liked the name of the Pope for a picture of a model?

The Vatican has opened an investigation after Pope Francis' Instagram account liked a revealing photo of a Brazilian model.

Natalia Gributo, 27, was photographed wearing a short white top shirt, suspenders and a short skirt against the backdrop of high school lockers, and the photo was given to Lake from the official account of the Catholic Church leader last week.

"I'm going to heaven," the model tweeted after one of her sharp-eyed followers uploaded a screenshot showing Francis among the many who liked the photo.

A day later, the photo was removed by the Vatican's social networking team, which tweets and responds on social media in Francis' name.

"The issue is being closely investigated in front of Instagram," a Vatican source told AFP, after speculating that someone on the Vatican's social team may have inadvertently liked the revealing image while browsing the pope's account.

Francis has 7.4 million followers on Instagram, but he does not follow anyone else and he has not liked any other photo.
