TRIBUNE - The philosopher * defends a position against the tide on the question of the caricatures of Mohammed.


The terrorism that strikes us is a war, a war from the weak to the strong, but no less cruel.

The weak gain the upper hand by breaking all the rules.

They target innocent civilians and commit suicide by killing.

This war is raging.

The thwarted attacks are legion - we do not know enough about our efficient services.

The attacks that succeed are frightening - that is their goal.

Governments make speeches to say that it is intolerable but they tolerate it very well.

Speeches about the unacceptable and the intolerable, on all subjects, seem in the understanding of the executive to replace action.

Instead of speeches, we need real political responses: today we enter France like a mill.

Criminal responses.

Educational responses: teachers have little disciplinary means to resist fanaticized young Muslims.
