All of us here preside over the destinies of subsidiaries of multinationals with foreign capital established in France, where we employ more than 120,000 people and generate nearly 50 billion euros in turnover.

Last year, on November 21, 2019, on the occasion of the previous edition of the States of France, we made a commitment to mobilize strongly in favor of the inclusion of young people from working-class neighborhoods and regions. rural communities, disadvantaged social backgrounds and those who, like our own societies, have come from elsewhere.

We did this to demonstrate the civic commitment of our societies in a country that is not that of our origins.

Beyond the strictly economic impact of the community, foreign groups in France, which employ 2.2 million people here, contribute 17% of the added value of.

all the companies working in France, provide a third of French exports, make 29% of the tangible investment of the industrial sector and provide 21% of R&D, we have decided, through our manifesto, to work so that the French society is more inclusive, more diverse and collectively richer, in particular through job creation.

Since then, France and the world have been struck as rarely in history by a pandemic which has plunged the planet into an ocean of uncertainties.

The near future of our country will never have been obscured by so many unknowns.

Among all those who have been affected by this crisis, the youth, especially those from working-class neighborhoods and rural areas, from disadvantaged social backgrounds, have been affected with incredible violence and injustice.

Already far from the job market, it finds itself more precarious than ever, while the economic outlook remains as bleak in many sectors of activity.

To fight against this scourge, the Government has adopted unprecedented measures to promote their professional integration.

We salute them.

In this context, we are all doing our best every day to honor the commitments made a year ago.

Some of us succeeded, even exceeding the set objectives, while others, strongly impacted, could not meet them.

Today, despite the uncertainties, doubts and fear of a continuing pandemic

, we are all renewing our pledge in favor of young people and our commitments made last year, concerning the increase and maintenance of the number of young people. welcomed in work-study and apprenticeship, allocating 50% of these to students from priority areas of the city (QPV) and

rural areas.

Likewise, we are renewing our desire to increase diversity in recruitment and career promotion policies, to initiate training actions on non-discrimination, on stereotypes and unconscious biases, and to develop actions of sponsorship in favor of young people from working-class backgrounds, so that guidance, success in studies and professional integration do not depend on origins but only on talents.

Finally, we renew our commitment to intensify the support we provide to associations specializing in the inclusion of young people from diversity and priority neighborhoods in the city.

We do this because, more than ever, we consider that it is part of our civic mission,

for a more inclusive and diverse France.

Young people represent our future, and our role of foreign companies "Bien en France" is to reach out to them, everywhere in the country, to support them in their professional future, aware that it is also at stake for that of our own businesses.
