In the framework of following up the implementation of service projects, their completion rates and the stages they reached in the Governorate of Aleppo, the Ministerial Committee in charge of monitoring the implementation of projects in Aleppo today reviewed the reality of a number of service and vital projects in the governorate.

The projects reviewed by the committee consisting of the Minister of Public Works and Housing Eng. Suhail Abdul Latif and Industry Ziad Sabbagh included the youth housing project in Al Maasraniya and the Grain and Sifting Centers in Jibreen, east of Aleppo, rehabilitating the cotton mill in Ein al-Tal, rehabilitating warehouses and laboratories of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Lermoon, and maintenance work. The removal of rubble on the northern Al-Malek road and reconstruction in the Al-Zahraa Association neighborhood, west of Aleppo.

The Minister of Public Works and Housing stated in a press statement that the aim of the tour is to see the reality of the projects that are being rehabilitated, including the Jibreen Grain Center, whose reconstruction contract amounts to one billion pounds, and part of it is invested as a screening center for the Seed Multiplication Corporation, pointing out that the rehabilitation works of the Seed Multiplication Foundation's warehouses and laboratories in Al-Lyramoun is nearing completion, with a restoration cost of 500 million pounds, and it is expected to be invested in next March.

He also indicated that the cost of rebuilding the cotton gin in Ein al-Tal amounts to about one billion pounds, and its daily ginning capacity is 200 tons of the beloved cotton, noting the importance of completing youth housing projects in Maasraniya and the need to secure basic services for it to ensure the return of the people.

In turn, the Minister of Industry explained that the tour focused on vital and productive sectors and projects in the governorate, pointing out the importance of preparing the infrastructure for grain projects and the Seed Multiplication Corporation to secure sufficient seeds for farmers and rehabilitate the gins to receive the cotton season.

In statements to the SANA reporter, the engineer Mayada al-Tanji, Director of the Housing Corporation branch in Aleppo, indicated that the area of ​​Al-Maasraniya residential area is 68 hectares and includes about 4 thousand apartments, noting that the value of damage to the project's buildings amounts to one billion and one hundred million pounds, as contracts were concluded to rehabilitate 1080 apartments and reached The value of contracts to complete the implementation of projects in it is two and a half billion pounds, while the completion rate reached 40 percent. The occupants of violations in the region were allocated 600 housing units, pointing out that a contract was signed with the Military Construction Corporation with a value of 7 billion pounds to complete the construction and restoration work in Al-Maasraniya.

In the Grain Screening Center in Jibreen of the Seed Multiplication Corporation, Engineer Jihad Salha, the head of the center, explained that their work includes sifting wheat and barley, with a daily production capacity of between 40 and 70 tons of grain.

At the Cotton Ginning Center in Ain Al-Tal, Dr. Zaher Attal, Director of the General Organization for Cotton Ginning and Marketing, stated that about 80 percent of the construction works have been completed to restore the Al Sharq ginning center in Ein Al-Tal, which is one of the seven cotton gins in the governorate and will be put into service next year.

In the Al-Lyramoun Center for Seed Multiplication, Engineer Adnan Omran, Director of the Seed Multiplication Corporation branch in Aleppo, explained that the center includes several warehouses and laboratory buildings, indicating that the completion rate of warehouse restoration reached 80 percent, and 50 percent of the restoration work for the building designated for laboratories and equipping the domes and prefabricated rooms has been completed and will soon be installed. With investment, the cost of its restoration amounted to 406 million pounds, and the area of ​​the site is about 4 hectares.

The governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, and the Secretary of the Aleppo branch of the Arab Socialist Baath Party, Ahmed Mansour, participated in the tour.
