The inquiries on the cause of death by HKUST student Zhou Zi today (25th) entered the 8th day.

Fire Chief Zhan Depeng confessed that several buses were jammed in Tangming Street on the way to the parking lot of the fire truck. After that, the bus driver gave way. After about 3 minutes of disturbance, the fire truck was able to pass slowly.

He also did not drive into the direction of Shangde Village because of the demonstrators, and instead drove straight and got off at Tangming Street outside the parking lot in the incident.

The deceased Zhou Zile (22 years old) was found lying on the platform on the second floor of the Suntech Parking Lot A in the early morning of November 4 last year during the conflict between the police and the people. He died on the 8th of the same month.

The court revealed that on the night of the incident, the Baolin Fire Department had dispatched a small rescue vehicle and a fire engine with a lift to the parking lot.

The fire chief Zhan Depeng, who arrived by the latter, said that after he turned from Baoshun Road into Tong Ming Street, several buses were jammed outside Shang Ming Building. After that, the bus driver gave way. After about 3 minutes of disturbance, the fire engine was able to drive slowly. by.

Zhan said that at the junction of Tangming Street and Tangjun Street, he should turn left and drive towards Shangde Mall. However, he saw demonstrators there and decided not to turn and drive straight ahead.

Meet Riot and Demonstrators

Zhan said that he got off at Tangming Street outside the parking lot at 0:55 in the morning.

In his testimony, he stated that because there were demonstrators at the entrance of Shangde Village, there were riot police in Tangjun Street: "I felt sensitive," so he deliberately checked the time after the incident.

When he saw tear gas at the intersection, he informed the reception that it would take more time.

He pointed out that apart from tear gas, no other people or other things hindered the advance of the fire truck.

No fire at the fire control center

Zhan Xudao walked to the fire control center of Shangzhi Building at about 0:59. There was no smoke or fire.

He and four colleagues went into the control room to check and saw that the display was lit and learned that the fire control switch in the parking lot was broken, but the display does not indicate which position the control switch was broken.

Received the team’s notification that the injured need an ambulance

Zhan was the director of the operation that day. He assigned his team members to inspect different floors of the parking lot in three teams, while he himself stayed in the control room.

About 5 to 10 minutes later, the team members in charge of inspecting the ground floor and the first floor returned. The report did not find that the fire alarm switch was broken.

Later, Li Weijie, the head of the fire brigade in charge of the second floor, told the radio that there was a male injured on the second floor and needed an ambulance. Zhan called the front desk at 1:9.

Zhan continued that he then went to the second floor to learn about the incident and saw the team member Cen Lingfeng coming down when he went up the ramp.

Later, they met a male citizen on the second floor. The other party pointed out that someone was injured and wanted to lead them to the injured position.

The inquiry continued.
