Lebanon is the country where worry and sadness is increasing the most in the world, according to a recent survey by data analytics firm Gallup.

Young people, who are paying a high price for an economy in free fall and the inertia of the political class, are emigrating en masse.

But despite the gloom, a thrill seems to be happening at universities across the country, some of which are among the region's most reputable.
