Room ventilation is moving into focus in connection with the fight against corona.

Especially in view of the upcoming winter.

Michael Manlik, parliamentary group spokesman for the ÖDP / Citizens Forum, has now applied for an expert opinion that examines the ventilation issue in the Murnau Culture and Conference Center (KTM).

  • Room ventilation becomes an important issue in the cold season.

  • The ÖDP / Citizens' Forum wants a report that examines the ventilation issue in the Murnau culture and conference center.

  • The Murnau market has ordered so-called CO2 traffic lights for schools and kindergartens.

Murnau

- “Not only in 'Corona times', but that's where the bad air in the KTM affects the health of the visitors,” writes Manlik.

“For years, visitors have had to suffer from the bad air at events.

Last but not least, we local councils have also had to determine this in many municipal council meetings. ”Good ventilation is a preventive measure to protect the health of KTM visitors.

The ÖDP / Citizens' Forum proposes to provide 10,000 euros in the next budget or an amount that is necessary for the report.

The application will be dealt with today, Wednesday, in the municipal council.

An engineering firm checks

The administration is not idle.

According to city hall spokeswoman Annika Röttinger, an engineering office is currently examining whether the existing ventilation system for the KTM hall should be changed, rebuilt or rebuilt.

Manual ventilation

How about ventilation devices for the large KTM hall?

So far, the market town has only determined the need for this equipment for schools and day-care centers, says Röttinger.

"In the KTM hall, the existing ventilation system and manual ventilation are still preferred."

CO2 traffic lights are to be delivered in December

So-called CO2 traffic lights are also an issue.

These remind you when it is time to ventilate.

The measured values can also be used to improve the ventilation processes in buildings.

The Murnau market has ordered CO2 traffic lights for schools and kindergartens.

“We are currently waiting for the delivery,” says Röttinger.

The CO2 sensors (traffic lights) had a delivery time of two weeks when the order was placed.

"According to the current status and delays, the devices should be delivered around calendar week 51." This begins on December 14th.

Individual ventilation devices for kindergartens

In the schools, a check was carried out to see whether intermittent ventilation is possible in all rooms, since according to Röttinger this is listed as the most important measure by the Federal Environment Agency.

The municipality made structural changes to the middle school so that it can now also be ventilated.

The municipality has therefore not yet purchased any ventilation equipment for the schools.

Individuals should be provided for the kindergartens.

That, says Röttinger, is “just running”.

Different offers

The ordered CO2 sensors cost 189 euros each.

The offers for various mobile air purification devices that were received at Markt Murnau are priced between 2000 and 3500 euros each.

The same delivery times are expected in the town hall as for the CO2 traffic lights.
