TRIBUNE - The philosopher, who occupies an eminent place in the French intellectual landscape, expresses his very strong disapproval of the attitude of the executive on the affair of the “gauge” in churches and draws out the lessons.


Disciple of Raymond Aron, of whom he was assistant at the College de France, honorary director of studies at the École des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Pierre Manent devoted himself in particular to the study of political forms - tribe, city, empire, nation - and to the political, intellectual and religious history of the West.
