This Thursday, while hundreds of thousands of Argentines approached the Government House to say goodbye to
Diego Armando Maradona,
in
Nosotros a la Mañana
(El Trece, Monday through Friday at 9
o'clock
)
,
Mary
spoke
, a neighbor and girlfriend from the childhood of the soccer star.
The woman, who grew up a few meters from the place where El
Diez was
born
, remembered the football idol with tender words, told how he was before leaving
Villa Fiorito
and warmly summed up her large family.
After telling that in the neighborhood all the neighbors were very sad and dismayed, the woman recalled: "He left Fiorito at 16 years old.
That is our last memory
, seeing him go, and today we see him go even higher" .
Mary, Diego Maradona's neighbor, spoke in "We in the morning."

In dialogue with Joaquín
el Pollo
Álvarez (37), the woman remembered "Pelusa" with an emotional story.
"We grew up together. We lived 20 meters away and next to my house there was a vacant lot.
I was playing ball all day
with friends and my brothers," he began by saying.
"
We grew up together and we have been mischievous ...
I have thousands of anecdotes ... his dream was football. In fact, we crossed paths when we went to school and (he told me) 'I arrive, I change and I'm going to train'", he added Mary.
When asked about the rebelliousness of the
Ten
and his ideals, the woman assured that he was "
super humble, very companion and gave everything for his friends
."
"And
it was always fun
. This morning we remembered with friends the things we did: from a birthday, to see him dress up to make us laugh, to have fun with him," explained the neighbor of the greatest soccer idol.
At another point in the interview, María mentioned the enormous love that Maradona had for his parents,
Don Diego
and
Doña Tota
.
"It
was a large family but they were all together, they were very close
. It was to celebrate a birthday in that place and they were all, the eight brothers," said the woman.
And she concluded excitedly: "
His life was that, a ball
. Everything circulated in a soccer ball."
Then, El Pollo fired her and she told him from the other end of the telephone line: "It was difficult for me to attend but I also wanted to leave your memory marked here in the neighborhood.
It left us very happy
."
