A fake doctor who worked for four months in Montceau-les-Mines (Saône-et-Loire), on the basis of counterfeit diplomas, was once again indicted, AFP learned on Friday November 27 from a judicial source , after the death of a second of his patients.

Samantha Avril, 36, had already been indicted on September 25 for "

illegal practice of medicine, endangering the life of others, unintentional injuries, forgery and forgery

Thursday, she was served with a supplementary indictment, this time for "

fraud

", following a complaint filed by the Order of Physicians of Saône-et-Loire and her employer, the Filieris health center de Montceau, said the public prosecutor in Chalon-sur-Saône, Damien Savarzeix.

Two families have also become civil parties, he said, after the death of a second patient who had consulted Ms. Avril: Ludovic Blatnik, an octogenarian, died on October 14 after four months in hospital.

A first family had already lodged a complaint after the death of Jean-Marc Gauthier, 67, on October 8.

His wife, Régine Gauthier, denounced “

hazardous prescriptions

” in a testimony to the Journal de Saône-et-Loire.

According to Ms. Gauthier, the fake doctor would have ordered the patient, during a consultation on August 2, to stop daily treatment that had been prescribed for his heart problems.

"

The link

" however remains to be established between these two deaths and the consultations given by Mrs. Avril, specifies his lawyer Alain Guignard, who rather denounces the "

culpable negligence

" of the Order of Physicians which has "

absolutely nothing verified

".

Ms. Avril, who worked as a doctor from May to September, "

had already been declared schizophrenic, hospitalized twice and she had already been reported

", recalled Me Guignard.

His client had indeed been prosecuted for false nursing diploma, after trying to register with the Order of Nurses.

The latter had discovered that his diploma was false and warned the health authorities who had raised the alert.

It is also this alert, found by an agent of the Filieris center after the hiring of Ms. Avril, which led to her dismissal.

The president of the Departmental Order of Physicians Gérard Montagnon recalled that Ms. Avril's registration had been made in April, that is to say in full confinement, the interview therefore being done by telephone and the transmission of the diploma by internet.

"

Nothing has drawn our attention to a possible fraudulent nature of the documents she sent us

," he recently told AFP.
