Through So Bacco, the wine-based drinks company created by Christophe Dominici, the family of the player who tragically disappeared last Tuesday, sent a press release to the media this late Friday afternoon.
“For us, his family, Christophe notably embodied courage and self-sacrifice.
Nothing stopped him.
He sacrificed himself as he once did for the members of his team.
For all, he was distinguished by his great sensitivity which made him so endearing.
We already miss him dearly.
And our sadness is endless.
Hastily, certain assertions according to which Christophe would have knowingly ended his days were relayed in the media;
affirmations that the family intends to preserve.
This thesis - particularly easy - is not proven, and cannot, as it stands, be accredited.
The family therefore asks those who may comment on the circumstances of his death to respect his memory and our hope. ”
