Top 14: no respite for the Blues, almost all on the bridge

2020-11-29T04:50:49.344Z

At least ten players of the XV of France reached by the limit of three matches in selection this fall will continue this weekend in the Top 14, only two being for the moment put to rest, according to the first compositions unveiled Friday.

Of the 18 players who reached on Sunday, during the match won in Scotland (22-15), the limit set by the Federation and the League to prevent clubs from being deprived of their best elements throughout the international window, only Toulouse Antoine Dupont and Julien Marchand will have the opportunity to relax on Saturday.

On Sunday, six other players could also follow up with Racing 92 (Virimi Vakatawa, Bernard Le Roux, Camille Chat), Lyon (Dylan Cretin, Demba Bamba) and Stade Français (Gaël Fickou).

Montpellier is counting on its Blues

Saturday, if the captain of the Blues Charles Ollivon (Toulon) and the two left pillars Jean-Baptiste Gros (Toulon) and Cyril Baille (Toulouse) will be substitutes, most of the French internationals (7 out of 12) will start with their club.

This is especially true in Montpellier, suffering in the league (11th) and which lines up Vincent Rattez, Arthur Vincent, Paul Willemse and Mohamed Haouas for the crucial reception of Bordeaux-Bègles.

In La Rochelle, Grégory Alldritt will even be captain against Brive.

In Toulouse, in the absence of Romain Ntamack, injured, Thomas Ramos will start at the opening against Agen, the other opener (Zack Holmes) being shifted to the center.

Regulars on Saturday:

Vincent Rattez, Arthur Vincent, Paul Willemse, Mohamed Haouas (Montpellier), Thomas Ramos (Toulouse), Grégory Alldritt (La Rochelle), Romain Taofifenua (Toulon)

Substitutes on Saturday:

Charles Ollivon, Jean-Baptiste Gros (Toulon), Cyril Baille (Toulouse)

Do not play Saturday:

Antoine Dupont, Julien Marchand (Toulouse)

Could play on Sunday:

Virimi Vakatawa, Bernard Le Roux, Camille Chat (Racing 92), Dylan Cretin, Demba Bamba (Lyon), Gaël Fickou (Stade Français)
