The total number of coronavirus infections in Britain has exceeded 1.5 million.
The BBC quoted government data today as saying that the total number of injuries in the country reached 1589301 after 16,022 new infections were recorded during the past 24 hours, while the total deaths reached 57,551 cases after 521 new deaths were recorded.
