Christmas 2020 has to go through a lot.
Can we hope for a little snow there?
The centenary calendar has the answer.
Every year at the beginning of
December,
fears about a
white Christmas
begin
The
weather
seems
to promise
winter weather and
cold
in
2020
The
centenary calendar
predicts what it might look like.
Munich -
Moritz Knauer's
centenary calendar
is also called the
farmers calendar
, but has little to do with lightly clad farmers.
It combines
astrology
and
meteorology
and has proven surprising accuracy at one point or another with its weather forecasts *.
Knauer, then abbot, wanted to save the agriculture of his monastery and wrote down a forecast for the next hundred years.
He arranged the forecast according to the
seven planetary cycles
.
The centenary calendar continues to this day.
The
farmer's calendar puts the
year 2020
in the
lunar year
category
, i.e. more humid than dry and more cold than warm.
But the forecast also goes into detail.
How does it look in December?
In fact, the centenary calendar * first confirms the general weather forecasts for the week *.
Apparently, astrology and meteorology agree:
cold
,
snow
and even more cold should determine the beginning of
December
.
The winter is starting and that really is.
The calendar promises the
onset of cold and winter
as early as Sunday, November 29th
.
Then snowfall should start on December 4th at the latest.
But will that last until Christmas?
Rain and cold in winter 2020: humbug or centenary wisdom?
If you believe the
centenary calendar
, this
snow
* will
turn
into rain again
from
December 5th
and it will remain wet for five days.
It
shouldn't be really white and wintry again
until
December 21st
.
At the end of December it only says: “
20.-31.
The month ends with rather cold weather
”.
Does that mean snow now?

You can't be so sure about the forecast.
According to the
German Weather Service
, it is officially a
"white Christmas"
when it
snows an inch
on
Christmas Eve
and the two
public holidays
.
There are often large regional differences.
However, if you spend your Christmas in Munich, you could be lucky this year.
Not only the centenary calendar predicts winter weather here.
If you believe the
meteorologists
from
wetter.com
, the state capital of Bavaria has the greatest chance of snow *.
Winter is coming!
