Even the first report of the interim results had a tremendous effect.

The Dax gained 500 points within 30 minutes when Pfizer and Biontech chased the message on the news ticker three weeks ago that their Covid-19 vaccine candidate BNT162b2 had an efficiency of more than 90 percent in the crucial tests.

When they announced on Tuesday that they would apply for approval from the European approval authority EMA, things went up again.

The price jumps - also seen in the positive vaccine news from Moderna and AstraZeneca - are something like a sigh of relief;

they express the hope that there will be economic life after the pandemic, that the virus can be combated in the foreseeable future like an ordinary influenza outbreak.

The mood that manager magazin caught up with among the 30 DAX companies shows that it is still a little too early for real outbursts of euphoria.

There are rough mind games for the procurement of vaccine contingents for employees.

However, the majority of DAX companies are still a long way off from talks with the federal government or even specific procurement measures.

The previous hygiene concepts are still being used.
