On November 28, 2018, the Inter-American Court of Human Rights declared the responsibility of the Mexican State in the violation of the human rights of 11 women. The Court's ruling refers to the repression that occurred on May 3 and 4, 2006 in the municipalities of Texcoco and San Salvador Atenco, State of Mexico. The Mexican government set a position in December 2018 and said it would promptly comply with the international body's ruling.
