Police arrested for questioning a couple of 17-year-old parents, residents of the northern region, on suspicion of being involved in the death of their infant daughter who was a few months old.

The investigation into the affair began two months ago, after the person in charge of the maintenance of the Christian cemetery in the lower city of Haifa found the body of a wrapped baby in a state of decay among the graves.

The police opened an investigation in which they discovered the identity of the baby and her parents, who were under surveillance as part of an undercover activity in the investigation.

The parents are represented by attorneys Tami Ullman and Shadi Saruji. It has not yet been announced when the parents will be brought before a judge for the purpose of extending their detention.
