The Commercial Bank of Syria announced that the bank’s electronic payment card holders can pay traffic violations and Quneitra electricity bills through the bank’s mobile app and website.

In a statement to SANA, Eng. Mahmoud Mahfoud, Director of Electronic Payment at the Commercial Bank of Syria, confirmed that the Ministry of Interior and the Quneitra Electricity Corporation have joined the payments system and complete the linking process with them to enable customers to pay traffic violations and Quneitra electricity bills for holders of electronic payment cards issued by the bank through the bank’s electronic payment gateway.

Mahfoud indicated that citizens can benefit from these new services in addition to paying the bills of the Syrian Telecom Company, the bills of Syriatel and MTN, the electricity bills of Damascus and its countryside, and the water of Damascus and its countryside.

Mahfoud explained that the electronic services enable customers, in addition to the bill payment service, to obtain an account statement, know the balance, transfer between a two-card account, obtain a brief account statement, and the nearest cashier service to you to find out the addresses of the closest ATMs in addition to other functions and services that will be provided later.

Regarding the method of subscribing to the bank’s electronic payment services, Mahfoud indicated that those wishing to do so can visit the bank’s website, choose the electronic services, click on the application form, fill in the account information and the services to be activated, then press the “Next” button if the information is correct, then press the “Done” button. ”Then, reviewing the chosen branch to complete the procedures for activating electronic services and obtaining the user name and password.

He pointed out that those who find it difficult to subscribe via the application can visit the chosen branch to subscribe to the service.

Last July, the Syrian Commercial Bank signed a cooperation agreement with the Syrian Company for Electronic Payments to launch an electronic payment service for bills and fees, with the aim of enabling those dealing with the bank to pay financial claims to entities that are linked with the Syrian system of payments through the payment channels available at the bank through the mobile phone or its website .
