My sorrow is deep, for taking a person's life. There was no intention, and when I was there was no "I have no intention of killing him. I am very sorry for the tragic event," he said.
A police investigation revealed that Schiff spotted the burglar while trying to steal his vehicle, and opened fire at him.
After an initial interrogation, Schiff was arrested, and during his interrogation he claimed that he acted as he did not to kill.
"I fired at the wheels of the vehicle. I did not intend to hit it at all."
