Mercedes has made his decision and it will be George Russell who will replace Lewis Hamilton for the Sakhir Grand Prix.
After the package of the seven-time world champion because of a positive Covid-19 test, Mercedes only had a few hours to organize for the coming weekend.
Stoffel Vandoorne, reserve driver of the German brand, seemed to hold the rope but it is finally George Russell, the young protégé of Mercedes, placed at Williams since last year, who will be at the wheel of the Hamilton single-seater.
At Williams, a Mercedes-powered team, Russell will be replaced for the Sakhir GP by Jack Aitken, who will make his F1 debut.
