A mother is said to have locked her son away and isolated for decades.
According to media reports, the now grown man has now been found in Sweden and freed.

The newspaper "Expressen" reported on Monday evening that a relative found the man, who is now 41 years old, in the completely neglected apartment in the Stockholm suburb of Haninge.

The man was "locked up for a very long time," said police spokesman Ola Österling of the AFP news agency.
The speaker did not want to comment on how long the son was actually cut off from the outside world.
The police did not comment on any further details of the case.
However, the German press agency confirmed that the woman had been arrested.

and
serious bodily harm

When she heard that the 70-year-old was in the hospital, she went to the apartment on Sunday evening:
"It was like in a horror movie
," she told the newspaper.
The apartment was dark and completely littered.
The man was sitting on the floor in a corner.
He could hardly speak.
Despite his age, he has few teeth and wounds on his legs.
She called an ambulance, the doctors in the hospital finally alerted the police.
"She stole his life from him," the relative of Expressen is quoted as saying.
Many years ago, the relative tried to intervene, but finally gave up.
“I was still young,” she defends her reaction at the time.

The prosecutor said the man was still in the hospital.
She didn't want to comment on the nature of the injuries.
This case also made headlines in Sweden at the beginning of the year: For fear of being infected with the corona virus, a couple of parents locked their three children in their rooms.
