An official in the American administration revealed that the Israeli entity was behind the murder of Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh.
CNN quoted the unnamed source as saying ... that "Fakhri Zadeh was one of the Israeli targets for a long time in the past," noting that "(Israel) usually gives the American administration information about its goals and the operations it intends to implement. But he refused to confirm whether it had notified the Donald Trump administration of the operation.
He pointed out that additional sanctions will be imposed on Iran within the next week and the following after Trump gave his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo the green light to continue imposing what the administration calls a policy of maximum pressure on Tehran over the next two months.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Defense and the Assignment of the Iranian Armed Forces announced the assassination of Fakhrizadeh, following a terrorist attack near the capital, Tehran.
