The former deputy of the Movement to Socialism Lidia Patty reported that she filed a complaint with the La Paz Prosecutor's Office against the former presidential candidate for the CREEMOS group and former civic president of the Pro Santa Cruz Committee, Luis Fernando Camacho, his father José Luis Camacho and also against the former commanders of the Armed Forces, Williams Kaliman, and of the Bolivian Police, Vladimir Yuri Calderón, on charges of terrorism, sedition and conspiracy against the government of former President Evo Morales, during the political and social crisis of 2019.

From the city of Santa Cruz, Luis Fernando Camacho responded to the complaint filed by former deputy Patty assuring that "I'm not going to go, I didn't do anything illegal, I'm not a coward, and we're going to wait for them to summon us to go testify."

Asked if there was a coup in Bolivia, he said: "What there was was electoral fraud by the Movement for Socialism and, without a doubt, an act of cowardice in front of the people who stood up to all that was fraud," as he declared to some media in the city of Santa Cruz.

For its part, through a statement, the CREEMOS alliance of Luis Fernando Camacho rejected the complaint against its leader and his father and described it as unfounded.

According to the statement, this is a fact of the Movement towards Socialism "in its attempt to try to convince the national public opinion that in October 2019 there was no fraud, but an alleged coup d'état". Also, the statement establishes that "no there is no fact or evidence that links Luis Fernando Camacho or his family to an illegal act and less to a coup d'état because there never was such a thing, ”the document emphasizes.

The Pro Santa Cruz Committee also spoke out in this regard, and in a statement published this Tuesday assured: "The Board of Directors of the Pro Santa Cruz Committee expresses its strong rejection of the political persecution initiated by the Movement towards Socialism, against our former civic presidents José Luis Camacho Parada and Luis Fernando Camacho Vaca, in addition to the former commanders of our Armed Forces and National Police, expressed the civic entity of Santa Cruz.

For the Pro Santa Cruz Committee, "the complaint —without grounds— of an alleged coup, only has the purpose of persecuting and prosecuting those who think differently."

The former commanders of the Armed Forces, Williams Kaliman, and of the Bolivian Police, Vladimir Yuri Calderón, have not commented on the lawsuit filed by former deputy Patty, CNN is trying to contact them, but so far it has not been possible.
