Amid the new coronavirus pandemic, Jessica Lusk and Dylan García face financial ruin after leaving their jobs to protect the life of their daughter, who suffers from a rare disease that affected her immune system. They both had jobs with a high risk of exposure to COVID-19 and knew they could bring home a disease that could kill their daughter. Now the family lives on $ 700 a month in unemployment assistance and food stamps and they have amassed nearly $ 10,000 in debt.
