Joe Laschet likes to wear a trench coat, tweed suit and hat, and if he wants to come across as particularly casual in photos, he leans against a facade or a street lamp, puts one hand in his pocket and looks into the distance.
Sometimes he has a glass of whiskey in his hand or smokes a pipe.
Laschet looks like he fell out of an Edgar Wallace crime novel, Inspector Joe from Scotland Yard.
Joe's real name is Johannes, he's not a British gentleman either, but comes from Aachen-Burtscheid.
Every few days he publishes a picture of himself on Instagram.
He owes that to his more than 90,000 subscribers, but above all to the companies that pay him to wear their clothes.
As an influencer, he has gained prominence in recent years because his father Armin Laschet (CDU) is Prime Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia.
