At the citizens' meeting in Straßlach, Mayor Hans Sienerth gave the visitors an overview of the most important developments and projects in the community.

But they also found out about one or the other annoyance.

Straßlach-Dingharting

- That Straßlach-Dingharting, as the deputy district administrator Otto Bußjäger said, is a “modern community” that “looks into the future” and does not struggle with the present: you definitely got the impression at the citizens' meeting in the community center.

28 visitors came that evening, there would have been space for 50. In between, in order to meet the hygiene requirements in Corona times, the room was also aired out, people put on their coats.

There were no drinks, as usually served by the boys, nor tangerines or nuts as usual. It was an extremely sober event.

Cyclists are still racing down to the “Zur Mühle” inn

One could experience a sovereign, highly satisfied-looking mayor.

You only heard anger from what Hans Sienerth (non-party) said when it came to the cyclists who were still racing down the mountain that leads down to the “Zur Mühle” inn with 70 things.

Instead of pushing your bike as prescribed.

“We are for cyclists, but for good cyclists,” he said.

Annoyance number two: the parents who drive their children to the school door, endanger others and clog the narrow street.

"We are considering closing the road to cars."

Otherwise: everything in perfect order in the smallest municipality in the district.

A residential project for senior citizens is to be built here soon, "next year we will come to specific decisions on this point".

The community has had a senior representative for a long time, Gisela Lengersdorf has introduced meals on wheels, is currently establishing telephone friendships among senior citizens and has organized a shopping service.

6000 people had themselves tested at the corona test station

As far as Corona is concerned, Straßlach-Dingharting is in the best possible position, 25 citizens have survived the disease, someone who is currently ill no longer lives in the village, is only reported here.

The test station in front of the music school is very well received, 6000 people have already gathered here and the municipality has a good 3000 inhabitants.

New residential and commercial area

Furthermore, a new residential area is being designated in Großdingharting, the parcels for single and semi-detached houses are given preference to local residents.

The first construction phase is planned for spring.

The business park in Straßlach "is growing and flourishing and will hopefully bring us a lot of income soon", a medical center, a business center with 5000 square meters of office space, the new Raiffeisenbank, a hotel are under construction or already finished.

In the meantime, the extension to the Straßlach kindergarten will begin in April, by then the new pond in Straßlach should also be ready and give the place “a new, attractive face”.

Straßlach-Dingharting also has no financial worries, the trade tax is flowing this year like never before (4.45 million euros), but the income tax has collapsed.
