Pieces of the most famous international operatic works were present for the first time at the Dar Al-Assad Theater of Culture in Lattakia as part of an evening that brought together the voices of Rasha Abu Shukr and Mikhail Tadros accompanied by Maestro Misak Pagboudrian on the piano.

The evening, which was characterized by high abilities, mastery and experience in presenting international operatic pieces with Syrian voices, which included paintings of the most famous international works, and was opened by the duo with "The Magic Flute", one of the most famous works in German by Mozart.

The opera (La Traviata) by the Italian author Giuseppe Verdi prepared two paintings to conclude the evening with a painting of the comic opera “Don Pasquale” by Italian Giantano Donizetti, which tells about love, deception and hypocrisy.

Maestro Pagboudrian said in a statement to SANA's correspondent, “It is important to introduce the audience to international operatic works, which are generally considered new to Syrian society, and to present them far from the prevailing idea about opera, which is related to the existence of a fixed singer, as we presented operatic works in different languages, tales and nature of music that evoke a group of arts from theater And singing in an integrated scene of costumes, lighting and decor serves the idea of the show.

Maestro Pagbordian noted the importance of presenting this art to various theaters and in all governorates, bringing it closer to the audience, making it delve into it and calling for great performances, and at the same time encouraging young singers and giving them the necessary experience in theater, hoping to present a Syrian operatic work that can simulate international works.

For his part, Michael Tadros, a graduate of the Higher Institute of Music, specializing in classical singing and holding a degree in musical education, indicated that the aim of the tour, which included several cities, is to deliver this art to all theaters, even though opera is a Western art relatively far from our audience, and let's say that we have the ability and capabilities to present it to create desire When younger generations go to music, at the same time expressing his happiness with the hospitality accorded to the evenings by the public in Homs and Lattakia.

A graduate of the Higher Institute of Music, Soprano Rasha Abu Shukr, considered that these performances confirm that we have singers who are able to present the most important operatic performances and publish this comprehensive art that presents several arts together, noting that the success of presenting the show at the Damascus Opera House was a motivation to direct it to the provincial theaters that interacted Her audience with the content of the shows to confirm that she has achieved her goal.
