There has long been talk of the renovation of the Deiningen thoroughfare.

Now it is clear: it should start in spring 2022.

Egling

- The poor condition of the Deiningen through-town has long been an issue.

Now things are moving.

As Mayor Hubert Oberhauser reported in the latest municipal council meeting, the street is to be renovated in 2022.

The best thing about it: The Free State finances the measure.

As reported, the CSU councilors Florian Sperl and Michael Neubauer had formulated an application for noise protection on State Road 2072 in the Deining area.

Because the condition of the street was "catastrophic", said Neubauer at the meeting, residents would no longer be able to withstand the noise pollution.

Therefore, the street should be redeveloped in a resident-friendly way.

In addition, all covers and slides on the road are to be checked and cracks repaired.

The building yard discovered five loose manhole covers

The road had been checked by the building yard, said Oberhauser.

A loose water slide and five loose manhole covers were discovered.

He promised a prompt repair.

With the redevelopment commitment, the municipality now has a time horizon with which to plan, added the town hall chief.

Work is scheduled to begin in spring 2022 and will probably take two to three years.

The renovation will cost 2.5 million euros, with the municipality having to contribute around 500,000 euros - including for the sidewalk.

Until the start of the renovation, Tempo 30 should apply in Deining, according to Sperl and Neubauer.

The mayor said that the prerequisites were not met.

There should be “special and numerous dangerous situations” in the place.

Also, only a few drivers would drive through Deining too quickly.

"The complaint rate is 1.66 percent," reported Oberhauser.

Noise measurements from 2014 and 2015 would also have shown that they were below the guide values.

Until the start of work, Tempo 30?

The topic Tempo 30 provided for discussion.

Vice-Mayor Josef Bail saw it as “no panacea”.

Dr.

Jakob Bernlochner brought up a possible weight limit for heavy vehicles, which would mainly cause the noise.

Bail disagreed with this.

Regarding the facts at hand, Johann Spindler said: “It is because of the arguments that are provided.” Third Mayor Heiko Arndt, who cited Wolfratshausen as an example, saw it that way.

In the rafting town there have been more Tempo 30 zones for some time, most of them for reasons of noise protection.

The councils unanimously approved the proposal by Sperl and Neubauer on the two points of repair work and renovation of the street.

The applicants revise the request for Tempo 30 until the next meeting.
