Last night (Saturday), the police arrested a 54-year-old resident of Kfar Kanna, who works at a nursing home in Haifa, on suspicion of assaulting an 82-year-old woman living there, after complaints were received against him and an investigation was opened into the matter.
As part of the investigation, the investigators gathered evidence and testimonies against the employee which strengthened the suspicions against him that he allegedly used to abuse an elderly woman.
After collecting the evidence and collecting the evidence, it was decided to arrest the nursing home employee on suspicion of abuse, and he was arrested and brought for questioning at the Haifa police station.
The police will request an extension of the suspect's detention and the hearing of his case today in the Magistrate's Court in Haifa.
A senior Haifa police official involved in the investigation of the incident told Israel Today: "These are not simple suspicions regarding cases of severe abuse and assault allegedly committed by the suspect of a helpless elderly woman." After being presented with some of the evidence and testimony against him he stopped cooperating with his interrogators.
A family member of the suspect, a resident of the Galilee, also told Israel Today: "We do not believe. In our opinion, someone is trying to sew a case for him. This is a person dedicated to his family and work. He was never involved in illegal events. Suddenly police come and arrest him. A law that handles everything and we believe that the court will do justice. "
