The Jerusalem District Court today (Sunday) heard the preliminary requests submitted by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the couple Shaul and Iris Elowitz, who are accused in the Alps cases.

Netanyahu and the Elowitz couple claimed that there were flaws in the filing of the indictment and demanded that it be revoked for reasons of "protection from justice," while the prosecution claimed that there were no real allegations.



As part of this phase of the proceedings, it was decided about two weeks ago to postpone the evidentiary phase of the trial from January to February, at the request of the defense attorneys and with the consent of the State Attorney's Office.

Next month, after the hearing of the preliminary allegations, the defendants will respond to the indictment.

What is Netanyahu accused of?

1000 case
