A story with a happy ending that could hardly be more beautiful: Susanna Hölscher from Gauting showed a stuffed dog on Facebook a few days ago, more out of the mood, in order to find its rightful owner.

The special thing about it: she found it 30 years ago - now she's sending it across half of Europe.

Gauting

- “I was nine years old at the time and passed Pippinplatz on the way home from school.

Because I was kind of bored, I explored the space behind the billboard.

And there was the little cuddly dog, totally filthy between the bushes, ”says Susanna Hölscher.

All she could do was take it home with two fingers by the ear.

“Mom immediately put it in the washing machine.

Freshly washed and dried, I put it in my room - and it has sat there for about 30 years. "

Was it the Advent mood or a bad conscience afterwards that she never looked for the owner at the time?

“It wasn't even possible to start a search ad.

There was no internet or Facebook.

That's why I thought a few days ago to catch up on what was not possible back then. ”Thought, done.

As soon as the photo appeared on Facebook, a young woman from Spain who used to live in Gauting got in touch and said it was her dog that she had lost as a toddler.

To be on the safe side, their mom was called in, who then confirmed: "Yes, this is our dog."

Susanna Hölscher is happy to say that the original owners were delighted to see them again.

“That the merger is now working makes me totally happy.

Now it will be washed again, made ready for travel and then it will be sent by post to Spain. ”Although - a few tears will flow when she drops the parcel at the post office and it disappears from her life, the 40-year-old Gautinger admits Indian roots a.

Making others happy and helping wherever possible is Hölscher's motto in life.

“Actually, I always think about doing something positive.

In this way I want to give back what I was able to experience through my adoption. "

She was not yet a year old when she was adopted by her parents and came to Gauting: “That was the best thing that happened to me.

I was able to study, do a nice job as a teacher for Spanish and German, travel a lot and enjoy the cultural life around Gauting as soon as Corona is over. ”And because, as a native Indian, she also has beautiful hair, she came two years ago got the idea to donate them.

“There is an organization that makes wigs for children with cancer from donated hair.

So I let them grow until the hairdresser was able to cut 75 centimeters for processing and I still had hair that was chin length. ”Susanna's main hair is now again stately length, which means as much as a child will soon have it again a wig can look forward to.
