The French handball players beat Denmark 23 to 20 on Tuesday night in Herning (Denmark) in the last match of the first round of Euro-2020, and advance to the main round with four points, the maximum possible.
This success opens the doors of the semi-finals of the competition to the French, reigning European champions (2018).
In the main round, they will face Russia (4 points), Sweden (1 pt) and Spain (1 pt) and the first two teams will join the last four of the competition.
