65 percent of the industrial and crafts establishments returned to work and production in Homs

The director of the Homs industry revealed that about 65 percent of the industrial and craft establishments have returned to the wheel of production, in a clear indication of the recovery of the industrial and crafts sector in the governorate, especially the establishments that were subjected to sabotage and suspension during the crisis.

Eng. Bassam Al-Saeed, Director of Homs Industry, explained to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the number of establishments licensed and implemented in the directorate since the beginning of this year until the end of November reached 197 establishments with a capital of 8 billion pounds and provide about 800 job opportunities, of which 75 establishments entered the production phase and the rest is under processing to start taking off soon, indicating Most of the facilities that have returned to work support the path of reconstruction, especially the production of blocks, tiles and cement mortars, in addition to the growing preparation of facilities whose work relates to securing food of all kinds to meet the needs of citizens and the local market.

The total number of establishments registered with the Homs Industry Directorate is currently more than 11,500 industrial and craft establishments.
