Daraa-Sana
Daraa Electricity Company has replaced and increased the capacity of 15 transmission centers throughout the governorate to meet the high demand for electrical energy in the winter season.
The general manager of the company, Eng. Hani Al-Masalmeh, stated in a statement to SANA that the company's workshops increased the capacity of 6 centers between 630, 400 and 200 KVA in the cities of Tafas, Busra al-Sham and the towns of Saida, Alaqin and Al-Qunya, which allows the transfer centers to absorb the extra loads resulting from the increased energy consumption during the winter.
Al-Masalmeh added that the workshops replaced 5 defective transformers with new ones in each of the towns of Al-Hara, Ghabagheb, Al-Sanamayn, and Nawa, pointing out that 4 new transformers were installed to add to what previously existed in each of Al-Alya, Smalin, Zimrin, and Al-Taha, all of which have a capacity of 100 KVA.
The General Electricity Company of Daraa is seeking, through local efforts and in cooperation with the local community, to restore the electricity sector, which during the years of the terrorist war on Syria suffered enormous damage.
