Donald Trump announced Monday, December 14 the departure
"before Christmas"
of his Minister of Justice, William Barr.
The latter would have resigned, according to CNN.
The announcement was made by the US president on Twitter a few minutes after the Great Voters' vote in California, which definitively confirmed Joe Biden's victory as the 46th President of the United States.
The United States Minister of Justice William Barr, who had suffered criticism from Donald Trump for not having denounced alleged electoral fraud, which the president said could invalidate Joe Biden's victory, announced his resignation on Monday.
"Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family, Deputy Justice Minister Jeff Rosen, an incredible person, will take over the interim,"
the outgoing president tweeted, without reiterating his accusations.
The minister will thus leave one month before the democratic president-elect takes office.
