An indictment has been filed against a young man from Ashkelon who stabbed and prayed in a synagogue in the city for an unclear reason.
According to the indictment, which was filed last Thursday, the young man came to pray at the Tiferet Babai synagogue in the city, and during the prayer he ran towards another worshiper and stabbed him in the neck with a knife.
As a result, the worshiper was injured and needed medical attention.
In the video of the security camera from the synagogue, which reached Walla!
NEWS, the stabber can be seen praying, and at one moment stops praying, runs towards the other worshiper and stabs him in the neck.
The young man is charged with the offenses of injury while the offender is armed and holding a knife.
The indictment was filed through the Lachish Area Prosecution Unit at the police station.

Maj. Gen. Keren Toledano, the investigating officer at the Ashkelon police station, said that "as soon as we received the incident, we opened an investigation.
